Newman Night Tournament 8-5-17

Our fifth member tournament of the season will be hosted at night on Newman Lake. The event will run from 7pm to 7am. The moonlight phase is expected to be “waxing gibbous” with 95% illumination, so there will be plenty of moonlight to help with navigation and fishing around cover. We want to urge safety to our boaters and non-boaters so there is a 15 MPH speed limit after dark. Here are the details:

Blast-Off and Weigh-In:
Boats in the water: 6:30pm
Driver’s Meeting: 6:45pm
Blast-Off: 7pm
Weigh-In: 7am
*Weigh-In bags provided
*Boat speed limit is 15mph at night

Required Items for Boaters:
Proof of boat Insurance (Min. of 300k as stated in the by-laws)
Tournament banner for motor cowl
Safety gear (personal flotation devices, fire extinguisher, visual distress signal, sound producing device, navigational lights, etc)
Night equipment: Bow and stern lights for watercraft (mandatory)
